In 2006, construction began on the King Memorial, located on the National Mall in Washington, DC.  Click here for a virtual tour of the memorial.

The National Civil Rights Museum is built in and around the Lorraine Motel where Dr. King was assasinated on April 4, 1968.  Exhibits chronicle the civil rights movement in America.

40 years since the Be-In

2007ba_summer14_ph1.jpgForty years ago today Polo Fields in Golden Gate Park hummed with the presence of 15,000 people.  The Human Be-In was in full swing and played a pivotal role in defining the San Francisco Hippie.
