86% of Women Prefer A New Digital Camera Over…

…a new pair of designer shoes.

That’s according to the Oxygen Network’s poorly named “Girls Gone Wired” survey revealing that, over the next five years, women will increase their interest in “digital cameras, cell phones, e-mail, camera phones, text messaging and instant messaging.”

The name still bugs me.  But the data is interesting enough to get past the sexism.  Read the Word document here.

Teens predict the demise of the gasoline powered car

That’s right.  Thirty-three percent of surveyed teens feel that the gas powered car will be obsolete by 2015.
